Green Kids Webinars

Join us for a Green Kids Webinar, a 30-minute activity for you and the kids to learn about environmental issues, ask questions, and do fun activities all from your living room.

Sign up for one or all of our upcoming Green Kids events:

Nature in the Neighborhood (Tuesday, April 14 at 11:00 am). Have you ever thought about how much nature there is in our very own neighborhoods? We will learn how to find nature outside our windows, read a beautiful picture book called Owl Lake, and make art using leaves, sticks, and flowers from around our homes.

Facing Changing Climate (Tuesday, April 21 at 11:00 am). Climate change has made our summers hotter, our floods stronger, and our droughts longer. We will learn how to fight climate change, and how to adapt to the changes that are already occurring. Then we'll read a great picture book about a young snake named Verdi, and make climate change hero snake sock puppets.

Back to the Future: Renewable Energy (Tuesday, April 28 at 11:00 am). Did you know that solar, wind and geothermal energy were the original sources of power on our planet? We will learn about renewable energy, read a picture book about a young bat learning to fly, and build our own solar pizza ovens.

You will need a computer, tablet or other device -- preferably with a webcam so we can interact with you -- and some basic materials to do our activities, all stuff most of us have around the house.
